  • Idk how relevant this is given you’re on .world, the largest instance, but when an existing community that nobody on your instance is subscribed to gets its first sub on your instance, all the existing posts get pulled in and show at once in the feed. On a comparatively smaller instance like mine, I definitely notice when someone local first subscribes to an existing comm if I’m browsing all - so it’s not always someone being inconsiderate, sometimes just a quirk of federation

    Not overly related to your question, but for #3 you should put your template .desktop file into the ~/Templates folder (create it if it doesn’t exist) and then you can make new ones with the right click -> Create New submenu in your file manager

    This works for anything btw, not specific to .desktop files
