I love these wholesome debates. Let’s all hate on each other as we fight over scraps from the Master’s table.

Casual UK@feddit.uk•How do you make Monday's more bearable?English
0·11 days agoOne of the silver-linings of the whole COVID thing is that we finally got to WFH. When the pressure to return to the office started, I was among the first to volunteer to come in 3 days a week and chose Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. This arrangement has remained and I’ve gotta say, WFH on Mondays really takes the edge off. I feel productive (sort of), yet the week feels less jarring when kicking it off from my own house.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is a much bigger threat than initially presented?
0·1 month agoSome of the best times of my life in my 20s were enabled through alcohol. I traveled the world using my own money, met countless interesting people in pubs and at festivals.
As I sit, fully sober at my workstation in the office some 20 years later, I can think back to those times and can only smile when someone claims it has zero net benefits.

A night shower is good for sleeping, I find, but it’s not something i do often. For me, a morning shower is essential.
I’ve always had weirdly unmanageable hair, so it needs to be rinsed so it won’t go full Einstein. Plus, a shower wakes me up and helps me feel ready for the grind.
I also do this 30-second cold blast at the end that I picked up on somewhere and masochistically enjoy.
Plus, I have levo meds that need to be taken about half an hour before coffee/breakfast, so the shower and getting ready give me a sufficient time window.
