I’m with you… but the article does link the following court document: Document Linked in Article Which I can’t personally verify, but it would be a long way to go for a hoax… unprecedented, no, but I’ll check back in after I read it.
Ouch, it’s worse when you actually read it. It’s essentially saying “Trump said this, so they will do it”. It hasn’t happened yet, which is what the title implies.
To be fair… They’ve done everything he wants until the courts get around to reversing things months later. But the damage is done by then. Every time.

The choice of framing this as illicit experimentation is unfortunate. This policy is anti-science and anti-medicine, but it isn’t really experimentation per se. It is a grievous violation of prisoners’ human rights though, and should he called out.
The Lemkin Institute is named for Raphael Lemkin, a man who lost much of his family in the Holocaust. He was also a lawyer and wrote the anti-genocide UN convention. Lemkin is an important person and more people should know about him.
